Great snorkeling set August 19, 2010 Brandon I bought this set for a 10 day trip to Aruba. I was able to use the set 7 of the 10 days. I had no problems with the set at all. There was no leaking in the mask and the fins were easy to work with. The only complaint I have about this is that because the fins are adjustable to various feet sizes, you may get some rubbing on the tops of your foot. My left fin began to rub on the top of one of my toes. It wasn't bad and it never rubbed to a complete blister but was somewhat annoying. One of my friends with me suggested scuba or snorkel booties and I may look into that at some point. however, for the price, this is an excellent set!
loving the teal July 25, 2010 L. Snyder (APO, AP United States) i chose this set because it is a brand i know and a color i love. i am pretty pleased with the set- the snorkel really is dry, the side view goggles are cool, and the fins dont hurt my feet (the strap that holds onto my heel is padded fabric, which is very nice). and you get a bag to keep it all in.
what took away a star: the corner of the goggles leak a little (no, my hair was not breaking the seal). and the purge for the nose doesnt work if you have big cheekbones that blocks the area to the nose.
update: in comparision to the set i picked for my husband, my set is WAY better.
i bought two sets; the set i bought for myself is this pretty teal set, and the 'Body Glove Scuba Diving Snorkeling Gear Dive Mask' set was for my husband. my set is much nicer- my fins have a cushioned strap, and his just have a rubber. my mask has a nose purge, his set doesnt. my mask as side viewing, and his set doesnt.
both snorkels are the 100% dry type, so actually thats the same, except his set has a whistle attached and mine doesnt. (he got a kick out of the whistle, but was a jealous of everything else)
if i had known all the differences, i would have bought two sets of the one i got for me! (still might, actually)
good intermediary package July 21, 2010 Mr. R. A. Stevens (colorado)
All in all a good package, I found the waterstop at the top of the snorkel sometimes stuck closed, leaving me to manually release it.
Fins and mask worked really well.
Great Snorkel Set May 26, 2010 boardbender The mask fits well, no leaks. The flippers are powerful and the snorkel is great at keeping water out from ocean waves and diving.
ok for the price, but not great. May 2, 2010 Nathaniel Feldner (Madison, WI USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I purchased this set for snorkeling and scuba diving in Cozumel. I don't get to go often, so i didn't want to spend a fortune on equipment, but wanted something better than the rentals. The snorkel works really well, it's a fully functional dry snorkel. The mask with the purge isn't great for those with a larger nose. the mask sealed great, but the purge does reduse some of the nose room which made diving a little less comfortable with the regulator in my mouth. I'm not a fan of the fins at all. They're very stiff which makes snorkeling difficut and very wide with a flat area where your toes go, which caused a lot of movement of my feet and blisters after a couple of hours of diving. The bag included does make transportation easy.
