Product Description Pluma is an extraordinary fin that makes the most of a sophisticated molding technology previously used only on the hi-tech models designed specifically for free diving and scuba diving. In fact, it uses the same Cressi patented construction system of molding in 3 different materials to get high performance, extreme lightness, easy kicking, and astonishing comfort. The blade is made from light and at the same time reactive polypropylene, with a very energetic and has a snappy rebound. Two side supporting grooves and other ribbing on the bottom of the blade guarantee progressive and controlled bending. The result is powerful and fluid, untiring kicking, just like a fin in this category should provide. The foot pocket extends right along the bottom of the blade to guarantee high protection during kicking even in shallow water and near rocks. Fin is made from soft thermo-rubber and the computer-designed shape offers great comfort as well as making the fin suitable for long use. The entire sole is hard and comes with large non-slip inserts, both for total protection of the foot and for excellent transmission of the leg-fin effort. The Perla Mask is particularly suitable for free diving and snorkeling, but just as appropriate for use in scuba diving. The Perla has separate lenses, a skirt edge that will adapt to most faces and a small inner volume, perfect for free-divers. It is made from soft transparent or dark silicone, and comes with strong rapid action buckles to adj

Not a good choice May 12, 2010 M. Armstrong I bought this for my 14- year old son to try snorkeling. Unfortunately the snorkel leaked and the fins were too big (he wears a men's size 8 shoe and I bought size 7/8) and too stiff for him.The mask was fine, but the rest of the set wasn't right for us. The snorkel leaked from up on the 'hose', not from misuse.
Nice Skin Diving Equipment for a great price April 2, 2010 Sam I Am (San Rafael, CA) I am going on a Hawaiian vacation soon and will be snorkeling and scuba diving. I hoped to find a nice dive kit that I can use scuba diving. The price was great and if I had to replace the fins with stiffer fins, I still be ahead of the game. I really like the fins. Although there are a little lightweight and flexible for scuba, they are attractive and well made, perfect for skin diving.
I'd buy them again. Recommended.
Great Quality- Horrible Sizing April 2, 2010 Nathan Stocum (Raleigh, NC) This is a great fins and mask set at a reasonable price. The fins are full with no opening on the top, only the bottom. This allows them to have an exceptional fit once you find the right size. The problem is that the sizing chart is completely off for US sizes. I wear a Men's 9.5 athletic and normally a 10 in dress shoes, the fins that ended up fitting me were the 7-8 and they are still a little loose.
The bag, as others have reviewed, is complete garbage. I thought if I was really careful with it there would be no issues....WRONG. The velcro cover ripped off the very first time I used it. You will need to buy a bag in addition to the one provided if you are planning to carry the fins any distance.
Good price, nice equipment December 3, 2009 Jennifer O'Meara (Seattle, WA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this snorkel gear for a trip to Hawaii. I'm no snorkeling expert, but I've been a few times, and I've always used rental equipment in past.
This Cressi set is great. I had no problems with water leaking into my mask. Every so often, a few drops would get in, but I always discovered I'd allowed my hair to get between the mask and my face. Removing the hair solved my problem. I've a female with a narrow face. The snorkel was good quality with some kind of device on the end to help prevent water from splashing in.
The flippers were good as well. I have Size 8.5 (women's) feet, so I got the size 7 - 8. The flippers were a tad on the large size but acceptable. If you have size 8 (women's) or less, I'd go with the next size down.
Many complained about the bag, so I treated it with care and didn't have any trouble with it ripping.
If you have left things to the last minute like I did, this snorkel set is a good option because express shipping is much cheaper than that offered by some of the other companies.
All in all, recommended. Good price, nice equipment, low-cost shipping. You can't go wrong.
Mixed bag August 31, 2008 Armando Moyano (Atlanta, GA United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The fins, mask and snorkel are well made and light enough for travel. The bag is another story. It is so poorly made that the strap ripped during a fifteen minute walk to the beach. The velcro closure ripped within a day, too. Note also that the fins run one full size larger than indicated.
