Great Attention Grabber July 2, 2010 JDP I have had this watch for a few months and I can't tell you how many compliments I've had. It is an attention grabber and a HUGE watch - unless you are a big guy, I would not recommend this as it will look silly on you.
Lots of comments.... May 24, 2010 Robyn Swaim (Amarillo, TX USA) I fell in love with this watch and got it for Christmas (2009). I love big watches and this one is definitely BIG. But... while heavy in the hand does not feel heavy on my wrist. I've had lots of people ask me about it. Some comment on the size because they seem to think it must be so heavy to wear. I've told them I barely notice it when I wear it. It's easy to read and looks great. I can see my Invicta watches are so popular.
HUUUUGE May 21, 2010 SaintViper (United States) I friend of mine got one of these and I couldn't help but notice it since it's is probably the biggest watch I've ever seen. Very cool looking though and big watches are in right now. He had the one with the blue face and it's pretty sharp looking. Given the weight I don't doubt that it's very solidly constructed.
Keep in mind that when they say this is a divers watch, they're not talking scuba divers. They're talking deep sea divers with those big gigantic suits and helmets. I don't think those guys would have much use for a watch like this but who knows. It's certainly big and bulky just like the suits they wear.
My only issue with this watch would be the crown cover. Other watchmakers have screw down crowns where the threads are built into the crown itself and no cover is needed. The cover here is simply a fashion device which is fine, but it sticks out so far that when I tried the watch on, it dug into the back of my wrist. Not a huge detraction as it adds quite a bit to the look of the watch and I have small wrists, but something for potential owners to keep in mind. You might want to try this sucker on before you buy one.
Maybe also keep in mind that it's super heavy. You might want to find a counter weight for your other wrist to keep your arms evenly bulked up and perhaps even prevent back pain from being so lopsided. (Ok, maybe that's a little over the top, but it's a big heavy watch.)
It's definitely something cool that gets attention.
Big and Beautiful in a manly kind of way. May 12, 2010 Sean A. Curry (Sinton, Texas) First off, this is a huge watch and probably the most masculine looking watch you'll ever see....which is a good thing. My wife calls it my Flava Flav watch. Quality construction and so far it appears to keep perfect time. My one surprise about this watch is that given its size and original purpose (diving) the strap is shorter than expected. I don't have huge wrists, but I have to wear this watch on the last hole in the band. If I were to wear it diving I don't know if I could wear it over a wetsuit as is. Swiss quality construction and striking good looks combine to make this an excellent value and could easily outlast me. I would certainly buy another if anything ever happened to this one.
I Love This Watch Very Much!!! May 12, 2010 Nate Davies (Oak Park, MI USA) The seller sent my watch to me on time and I love this Invicta 4578 Russian Diver Watch very much! By the way, I got the watch at a great price. Thank You!!!
