Product Description Speedo's anti-fog goggle spray cleans goggle lens surface of chemicals and dirt.
Amazon.com Product Description Use this spray on swim goggles, ski goggles, sunglasses, and any other sport glasses to remove dirt and chemicals from the lens surface. The 2-ounce plastic spray bottle will fit perfectly in your bag to the pool or beach without spilling About Speedo In 1914, Speedo was founded in Australia by Alexander MacRae, a 22-year-old Scottish immigrant who arrived in the country in 1910. The company began when MacRae Hosiery manufacturers, established by Alexander in 1914, extended the manufacture of underwear to swimwear and became MacRae Knitting Mills. A naming competition was held by the staff in 1928 and won by a Captain Parsonson, who coined the slogan, "Speed on in your Speedos." In 1929, the first swimsuits were in production and it didn't take long for Speedo to successfully establish itself. World War II caused the brand turn over 90% of it's manufacturing to war production, providing the armed services with vital equipment such as mosquito nets. After the war, Speedo opened a new factory and was able to re-establish itself, due to increased demand for swimsuits. In 1951, Speedo Knitting Mills (Holdings) Ltd, was incorporated and became a publicly traded company on the Sydney Stock exchange. Speedo hit the international stage in earnest, at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, and a few years later the brand grew on a more global scale. Export sales to the USA began and an international division was set up to monitor trade in New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. The expansion of the brand continued, and in 1976, Speedo was appointed as the official swimwear for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where 52 out of 54 countries wore their swimsuits. Speedo continues to make its mark in the pool and on the beach today. Many world class athletes who wear Speedo include U.S. phenomenon Michael Phelps, legendary Australian swimmer Grant Hackett, world record holder Kosuke Kitajima from Japan, and Holland's Inge de Bruijn. Use a raw potato to keep your goggles from fogging March 5, 2010 S. Jayawardane (Dallas, TX USA) Here's something that works better than this product.
1. Cut a chip out of a raw potato. Be sure to use a clean potato, so wash it first if it is coated in soil. This is a good opportunity to use up an old potato that has started to sprout and is past its best.
2. Rub the potato chip in the inside of the goggle. This will clean it and leave a layer that will prevent fog from forming inside the goggle.
3. Use the other half if needed. You can also cut off dirtied slices and keep using the existing part of the potato if wished.
4. Leave to dry without touching.
You can also use this to technique to keeps the inside of car windows from fogging. (Just use half a potato.)Potatoes also make a great stick shift nob replacement. Use a Sharpie to note the gears, if necessary. Replace as needed.
Must have item February 19, 2010 Jerry I swim almost everyday and this is must have item for the swimmers out there.
Best that I've tried so far February 8, 2010 Just a reviewer I was using this product called Cat Crap for my swimming goggles, and Cat Crap did not work at all for swimming. I think that was designed more for use out of the water. So I bought the Speedo brand, and finally it works.
I just spray once on each side of the goggle and wait for it to dry. It's a bit tricky making sure it's dry, and when I do back strokes, I am concerned about it getting into my eye when the solution gets mixed with the pool water. So I try to get it as dry as possible before I get into the water.
Regardless, this gets the job done, and I'm satisfied.
