Product Description Speedo's anti-fog goggle spray cleans goggle lens surface of chemicals and dirt.
Amazon.com Product Description Use this solution on swim goggles, ski goggles, sunglasses, and any other sport glasses to remove dirt and chemicals from the lens surface. The 2.6-ounce plastic bottle will fit perfectly in your bag to the pool or beach without spilling About Speedo In 1914, Speedo was founded in Australia by Alexander MacRae, a 22-year-old Scottish immigrant who arrived in the country in 1910. The company began when MacRae Hosiery manufacturers, established by Alexander in 1914, extended the manufacture of underwear to swimwear and became MacRae Knitting Mills. A naming competition was held by the staff in 1928 and won by a Captain Parsonson, who coined the slogan, "Speed on in your Speedos." In 1929, the first swimsuits were in production and it didn’t take long for Speedo to successfully establish itself. World War II caused the brand turn over 90% of it’s manufacturing to war production, providing the armed services with vital equipment such as mosquito nets. After the war, Speedo opened a new factory and was able to re-establish itself, due to increased demand for swimsuits. In 1951, Speedo Knitting Mills (Holdings) Ltd, was incorporated and became a publicly traded company on the Sydney Stock exchange. Speedo hit the international stage in earnest, at the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, and a few years later the brand grew on a more global scale. Export sales to the USA began and an international division was set up to monitor trade in New Zealand, Japan and South Africa. The expansion of the brand continued, and in 1976, Speedo was appointed as the official swimwear for the 1976 Montreal Olympics, where 52 out of 54 countries wore their swimsuits. Speedo continues to make its mark in the pool and on the beach today. Many world class athletes who wear Speedo include U.S. phenomenon Michael Phelps, legendary Australian swimmer Grant Hackett, world record holder Kosuke Kitajima from Japan, and Holland’s Inge de Bruijn. Good product August 20, 2010 Pavan I own a pair of Speedo Vanquisher goggles and after about 10Kms of swimming over a span of a month the anti-fog layer was completely gone and it fogged up pretty badly. Unwilling to invest in another pair of goggles I read up online for a cheaper solution and found the comments on this page very useful. I bought this solution from a local store and followed the instructions as listed on the bottle. Poured the solution on the inside of the goggles, waited for about 10 seconds (time was not listed) and rinsed. That was a mistake and the lens promptly fogged up within 250yards. So the next day I left the solution on the lens for 30mins and then gently rinsed it in cold water. This did the trick and the goggle remained clear for the entire session. Give how clear the anti-fog layer is now, I am guessing that the layer will last about 5-6 sessions, although I haven't yet tested it out for that long. The only reason I gave a 4/5 is because of the rather long time the solutions needs to stay before we can use the goggles.
I have realized that the best way to extend the life of the anti-fog layer is to never ever touch the inside of the lens or take the goggles off while still inside the pool thereby wetting it with pool water. The anti-fog layer wears off a lot quicker in warm pools and pools with high chemical content. Hope this helps and happy swimming!
Not Spray August 1, 2010 Merfarinas 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The product is fine and works perfectly for your goggles. But the product says SPRAY and that's not true..
doesn't help July 3, 2010 Kim Chou (NJ, USA) tried using the product exactly as prescribed. (spray & leave for 30 sec, rinse with water, let dry)
after 10 laps it started fogging up again. Doesn't seem to work..
Not the spray as advertised June 1, 2010 R. Jeter 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered this product thinking it was the spray. What I received was Spedo Anti-Fog Solution. 2.6 oz UPC 638950138476. So far it hasn't worked very well either.
Not a spray...description should be changed to "drops" April 26, 2010 P. Ma But they work very well. Follow the directions carefully and your goggles will be clear. :)
